Fredrik Ödman

'Bent stories' it's all about a banana. You might wonder how many stories a banana can tell, but every new image makes you smile again. Fredrik Ödman from Ängelsholm, Sweden, a photographer with a keen interest in photoshop. A photo manipulator if you like. Besides photography, Fredrik has a background in painting.
"Fredrik Ödmans images explore and uncover an enchanted world. The pictures take the viewer on an extraordinary journey into the borderland between dream and reality. The meeting point of logic, imagination and madness."

schilte & portielje

Huub Schilte and Jacqueline Portielje work and live together in Rotterdam  -   The Netherlands. They started out as an architectural designer and a painter. But now they work together without a preconceived plan or subject. You can read a good description on how they create these intriguing works of art on their 'about us' page.
They have their own unique style, but it does remind me of Sarah Moon's work. Different but the same atmosphere and strangeness.

Yang Yi

Personally affected by the Three Gorges Dam project in China, Yang Yi payed homage to his hometown in a series of beautiful digitally manipulated images. Together with other villages, farmland and historical sides his village was claimed by the waters of the Yangtze river. He captured the remainders of his childhood home grounds before it got submerged in the 400 miles long reservoir of the  three gorges dam. Yang Yi; "I don’t intend to dwell on the meaning to be found in my photography. What is important for me is that I came from that town. It is about all that we have in common there: our accent, our spicy coriander, the nod we give each other, a friendly signal to say hello when we pass one another on the street, these streets that we have traveled alongside our ancestors, that have herded us along together… this series was created for all of that. It will be my
personal memoir!"
Born in Kaixian, Chongqing in 1971.

Ian McQue

let's start with the closing words of Ian McQue's blog.
"Greetings, viewers - thanks for stopping by.
My name is Ian McQue, by day I'm a concept artist at Rockstar North, home of GTA.
Within these pages I'll be posting the stuff I do when I'm not at work."

"Hope you find something you like."

Ian McQue is a conceptual artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Works in both traditional and digital way. His Steampunk armada of flying or floating airships is wonderfully impressive. Never sure where they are heading to, and if they will ever get there.
