Belgian Coal Mining Heritage
Former miner Jonny Vekemans knows the abandoned
mines as no other. Using a pinhole camera he shows us the beauty and
the decay of the old Belgian mines. He used to work there and by
cataloging it, he still is in a certain way. Creating even stronger and
more interesting images by producing cyanotypes from his pinhole negatives. Jonny Vekemans lives and works in Genk, Belgium.
