Finding the balance between gravity and motion is often the main theme in Frederic Geurts' work. This Belgian artist constructs fragile,
mostly monumental metal structures. Almost working like an architect or
engineer his artwork becomes a part of the building, nature or whatever places they are designed for.
He is not keen on spreading a message and even though most critics find beauty is not a criterion in modern art, Frederic thinks you don't have to exclude it.
He had his first solo exhibition in Z33, Hasselt, Belgium.
