Vally Nomidou
Vally Nomidou's "let it bleed" series of life-size sculptures and body fragments are all paper made. She makes use of simple materials such as paper towels, newspapers, handmade paper, cardboard, wire, PVA and wood glue. By arranging the layers she is able to create soft balanced tones in her work. Build around an internal cardboard support, using partial plaster casts she achieves mostly incomplete figures of almost natural beauty. This Greek artist's work is fragile and "non-finito" , they urge the viewer to look inside.
