Ron Mueck

Australian Sculptor, Ron Mueck 's hyper-realistic sculptures reproduces the human body in minute detail. Ron Mueck: "I never made life-size figures because it never seemed to be interesting. We meet life-size people every day."

His Big Man took him a total of four weeks to complete at a lightening pace, one each for sculpting, molding, casting and finishing.

Jonas Burgert: “In our mind, we create existences as heroes, gods or clowns. They lead unbearably loud, malicious, cynical, witty and passionate lives, in wonderfully strange or terrible places. In my art, I merely try to paint the scene of this ongoing process of debate and negotiation, with all its peculiarities.”
