Contemporary Czech photographer, Ivan Pinkava created his own visual language. Maybe best known from his portraits of awkward and androgynous models.

But his non-figurative black and white pictures are just wonderful. The slightly darker tones draw you into these discarded objects. A feeling of sadness surrounds them, Pinkava has a special ability to give these ordinary objects a new life in his nearly bare studios.
